The purpose of this blog is to encourage a love of reading! This site contains book reviews, video book talks, and author study podcasts all created and submitted by the students at Cooper Upper Elementary. We welcome you to our site and hope that you visit regularly.

Book Reviews
Our students have read many books and have written reviews to make it easier for you to select a book that you might like to read. The book reviews can be accessed by clicking on the “Book Reviews” link, clicking on a genre in the Categories section, typing in a title of a book in the Search text box, or by simply browsing through the titles.

Video Book Talks
Students have created videos to “sell” a book. Similar to a movie trailor, the video book talks are intended to grab your attention to make you want to read the book.

Author Study Podcasts
These podcasts will feature a different author each month. They will talk about the author’s life and about the books the author writes.

How 2 Videos
These videos will help you with all sorts of reading problems like … finding a good book, making inferences, figuring out cause and effect, etc.

Sites for Readers
These are reviewed web sites that may be helpful to you as a reader.
